2,893 Open Tabs. And Now One More Project.

I had 2,893 tabs open on my phone when I decided to create this site. Apparently, I thought one more project would help.

18 September 2026

I had 2,893 tabs open in my phone’s browser when I decided to create this site.

Yes, two thousand eight hundred and ninety-three. Just on my phone.

And now I also have a site called All Open Tabs. Adding another project to the situation seemed consistent.

There’s a bit of everything in those tabs: technology, artificial intelligence, work, places I want to visit, things I want to learn. And searches that started with one simple question and, before I knew it, had turned into fifteen more.

I open a tab because something interests me. I leave it open because I want to come back to it later.

“Later” is having trouble keeping up.

But I like that curiosity. I like discovering things, learning, talking to someone and coming away with a question that had never occurred to me. I like it when one subject leads to another, even if I can barely remember where I started.

At the same time, it gets tiring sometimes. There’s so much I want to do that I can spend more time researching the possibilities than actually experiencing any of them. And turning an idea into another project comes pretty easily to me. Finishing it is a separate conversation.

So yes, I know: creating a website seems like a slightly suspicious solution for someone who already has so much open.

But I wanted somewhere to write about some of these things. To share an experience while I still remember the details. To pass on something I’ve learned. To develop an idea beyond that moment when I think “this would make a good post” and move on to the next tab.

There will be technology and work here, because they’re part of my life. There will also be places, experiences, questions and subjects that might surprise anyone who only knows me professionally.

I don’t even know which ones yet.

That part excites me.

Maybe you have too many tabs open too. Or a list of saved things that grows faster than the time you have to look at them. If so, I think we’ll have plenty to talk about.

For now, I’m starting with this post.

I still have plenty of tabs open.

And now I have one more project. :)

And you: what are you saving for later?

Keep the conversation open.
